Since childhood, David Wolfe was engaged with various sports such as baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and track and field. Competitors were most of the time taller or bigger compared to his small body frame, so the David and Goliath storyline was a consistent theme he revisited in sports.
In high school he wrestled and attended Dan Gable’s Wrestling Camp in Iowa. There he learned how the body could be conditioned with great strength and agility by tapping into the mental capacities of the mind. After getting certified in fitness and nutrition and graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a BA (double major in Philosophy and Psychology) and Masters in Professional Studies in Humanistic/Multicultural Education, David saw the need to pass along to others what he has learned about the mind-body relationship. For over twenty years he has helped a diverse population of individuals and groups work towards optimal health at different fitness facilities and has designed unique boot camp classes as well as tailored one-on-one fitness and wellness programs.
Now 47 years old, with extensive life coaching approaches and various strength training techniques in his training tool belt, David hopes to continue helping all people achieve optimal health through Phoenix Home Fitness.

Mind and Body Renewal is a Journey of the Hero and Heroine
At different times in your life, you will examine your body or mind and wonder, "How did I get to this point?" or "What is this magnificent machine; body?" or "Why does it feel like there's so much conflict and disorder in my mind?" This is all part of body renewal and the thinking that a person goes through when he/she/they are being "called back to" the sacredness of body, breath and consciousness.
The Call to Adventure you have with the phoenix is being aware of the challenges you are having with your current body, breath and consciousness. Something is out of place or amiss. Something is not being resolved completely. Awareness of there being a lack of vitality, clarity, or understanding is evident...and because these factors are important to your health, you are being called to find out ..and that is your calling...to find out for yourself what makes you healthy...and to pursue that as a daily study and investigation...and this calling doesn't go away until you answer it completely.
Finding Your Path is where you are now...you saw my website, you saw me on the street, you somehow got to meet me and that is where you are along your journey; you're gathering resources, preparing yourself with a Company of Travelers; people you can trust, people that want to help you get where you to need to go...so that you can face your challenges ahead confidently.
At the Heart of the Labyrinth you face your challenge directly...it is during this time we meet, train, heal and meditate on our journey of gaining clarity and deep understanding of vitality...and that strength doesn't just find a home in the muscles...we quickly see that building a strong mind and heart is equally important. And that is the key at the Heart... It is within you (and your own home), that you undergo transformation and begin to feel what it is like to die to the old and authentically connect with new cells, new thinking, and new feelings about your body…and your purpose in life.
At the Woods Between the Worlds, you realize the cost of being attached and clinging to the old (old body, old psychology, old stress and trauma, etc.) and how all of it was not serving you...and you begin to see the value of being open, forgiving, and no matter how embarrassing, no matter how many mistakes you've made or how mentally challenging it's been, you're in a much better place to handle the challenges ahead. You are now self-empowered through your mind, body and heart...and you see the value of living as an embodied phoenix.
The Return is when our sessions end ...we shake hands-you go your way and I go mine. You return to your relationship, family, friends...or maybe you simply return to a better understood you, a healthier you, a better version of you that learned how to self-empower and regain autonomy. And because you had the courage to come back to your mind and body for this primal work, you realize the value in leading your life with love instead of fear.
